The beautiful and loving online premier featured conversation among amazing AIDS workers, all writers for the anthology AIDS and the Distribution of Crises (Duke 2022). My co-editors, Dr. Jih Fei Cheng and Dr. Nishant Shahani, were joined by HIV/AIDS scholars, organizers, and artists with associated interests in Long COVID, disability justice, queer and trans media and history, and documentary: Cecilia Aldarondo, Pablo Alvarez, Pato Hebert, and Cait McKinney.

About 20 more people came to watch, listen, and engage.

When the event ended, I received this sound memo (walking and talking, as do I, in Please Hold), from AIDS scholar, curator, and worker, Alex Fialho, who was also in attendance. He speaks compellingly about how the video is a kind of theory … agreed! And its clear connections to the Last Address AIDS tribute walks he spearheaded at Visual AIDS.
